There are times when we can see the storm clouds forming on the horizon. We may not be able to prevent them from coming our way, but at least we can prepare for their arrival.Then there are other times when we don't see the storm coming, we only feel the impact when it is upon us.
Have you been blindsided by a storm? Large or small, we still get wet.
Let me assure you today that the storm you are experiencing, or the one you are trying to recover from, did not catch God by surprise. He says in His Word that He's always with us, no matter what we go through.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you."
(Isa. 43:2 NSAB).

Can't help but think of Chonda Pierce tonight as I read your post. Her husband goes to the ER for what seemed to be a treatable situation and today he went home to be with the Lord. But you're right. God was not caught off guard. What comfort this truth brings.
